Job Description

Recording Media Organization (RMO) Launch group is to provide reliable component media electrical testing (VTS) for Launch new media development. The team also provides technical solutions to testing improvement and new metrology development to enhance test data accuracy.Close collaboration with Fremont test group and Sputter process group is expected. Primary metrics are accurate and timely VTS data for media performance development.

About the role - you will:

  • Provide reliable VTS data for Launch media development

  • Improve testing turnaround cycle time

  • Develop/work with Fremont Test group to define test head criteria/test setups

  • Provide continuous testing improvements/metrology for testing accuracy enhancements/FA

  • Provide electrical FA support for drive failure returns

  • Improve VTS to eDVL correlation

  • Be technical lead to engineering specialists
