Staff Backend Engineer

Architect and scale the core systems behind our managed data agents . Boam AI builds managed data solutions that transform messy, unstructured signals from public, private, and proprietary sources into structured, reliable, and up-to-date intelligence on millions of SMBs and enterprises worldwide. These agentic systems power CRMs, data warehouses, AI products, and mission-critical decisions across the enterprise. As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will lead the technical direction of our Scala + Python data and agent infrastructure. You’ll own long-term architecture across multiple systems and scale both existing and greenfield services to keep our data fresh, our APIs fast, and customer workflows moving. This is a role for someone who wants to set the bar for technical excellence, mentor other engineers, and take responsibility for hard distributed systems problems with minimal safety nets and a small, senior team.
