Our client in Hartford, Connecticut is seeking a Contract Staff Accountant to support their accounting team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong general accounting experience who can step in quickly and contribute to day-to-day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and post journal entries

+ Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

+ Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

+ Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation

+ Help prepare financial reports and account analyses

+ Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures

+ Assist with ad hoc accounting projects as needed


Requirements
