Motorola Solutions’ Fixed Video hardware team is seeking an experienced Senior Optical Designer to join our optics group. You’ll have the opportunity to steer the end-to-end product design and ensure high quality of our broad portfolio of next generation cameras.
Responsibilities:
Lens Design: drive lens selection or custom design through third-party suppliers
Camera Validation: simulation, optimization and evaluation of lens modules, prototypes, and full production camera assembly
Cross-functional Collaboration: work closely with mechanical, electrical and firmware teams on integration of the lens/sensor modules onto our camera platforms
Transfer to Production: Develop alignment standards, test jigs and automation routines for factory assembly
Illumination and Stray Light Analysis: Design optimization, testing and mitigation of stray light
