Responsibilities

  • Develops annual procurement objectives and manages day-to-day priorities for timely and efficient execution of workload.
  • Performs cradle-to-grave contract administration on all assigned contracts; independently manages complex contract issues involving disputes, modifications, claims and close-outs; exercises delegated procurement officer authority for a wide range of contracts.
  • Acts as a consultant to staff to resolve irregularities in competitively bid and negotiated construction contracts as well as mistakes in bids and bid protests; determines acceptability of any special award requirements; obtains approvals required for the method of procurement and/or contract award; develops justification for sole source negotiations and prepares applicable determinations and/or findings.
