Seeking an experienced, hands-on COBOL professional to serve as a technical lead and senior contributor within its IT organization. This role is ideal for a seasoned COBOL developer who enjoys mentoring others, guiding technical direction, and improving processes without stepping away from day-to-day development work.
The COBOL Technical Lead will work closely with other developers and business partners to support and enhance mission-critical systems while helping guide the team through ongoing modernization efforts, including the transition from legacy files to SQL-based architectures.
This is a player-coach role, blending deep technical contribution with informal leadership, collaboration, and technical oversight.
