Job Description
- Responsible for the design process of vehicle related components and modules from concept to production.
- Ensures technical rigor for all projects assigned (Specifications, DFMEA, DVP, APQP, and Technical Design Reviews).
- Perform project related assignments and work directly with all functions of the organization to ensure project success with respect to Quality, Delivery and Cost.
- Transform market requirements into system, subsystem and component requirements.
- Leads cross functional team to create DFMEAs and DVPs (Design Validation Plans)
- Utilize PTC Creo to design & develop mechanical components, subsystems and systems • Create and release component and assembly drawings using GD&T when appropriate
- Collaborates with manufacturing engineers to ensure Design For Manufacture (DFM) and to incorporate designs into manufacturing processes.
