Sr Advisor Accounting (Calgary)

What You Will Do

• Prepare, review and approve monthly journal entries (including operating and administrative expenses, revenue and regulatory adjustments) and account reconciliations in support of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles.
• Prepare, analyze and review financial and regulatory reports, including income statement and balance sheet analyses, in accordance with US GAAP and/or FERC accounting guidance.
• Analyze, review and communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual results, providing insights into variances and trends.
• Support internal and external financial and regulatory audits, preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Review regulatory decisions and determine associated impacts; including regulatory research and analysis as required.
• Collaborate with various groups within Finance and stakeholders regarding the inputs and impacts of complex deferral accounts.
