Job Description

An SQL Developer is a professional who specializes in working with relational databases using Structured Query Language (SQL). Their responsibilities typically include:

  • Designing, creating, and maintaining database schemas (tables, views, indexes, etc.).
  • Writing and optimizing SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation (insert, update, delete), and reporting.
  • Developing stored procedures, functions, and triggers to implement business logic within the database.
  • Collaborating with other developers, database administrators, and business analysts to ensure data integrity and meet application requirements.
  • Troubleshooting database-related issues and optimizing database performance.
