JOB SUMMARY
The Specialist - Pediatric Anesthesiology, within the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology, is a physician with clinical training and a specialist qualification in Anesthesiology.
Under supervision of the Attending Physicians, the Specialist - Pediatric Anesthesiology provides family-centered medical care services to medical and surgical patients, to include:
Parenteral sedation for selected patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures
General and regional anesthesia
Pre-procedural anesthesia assessment
Team members of code blue and trauma teams
Assessment and management of acute and chronic pain
After hours in-hospital and on-call services 24/7 (in conjunction with Attending Physician)
