A special needs school is looking for a teaching assistant to work in their 6th form based within a mainstream college which is local to the main school site. The 6th form supports individuals with a lead diagnosis of Autism, with some individuals also having other additional needs such as Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) or health needs.

Whilst the main focus of the 6th form is to continue the learner’s education they also put a strong emphasis on preparation for life after schooling, such as lots of trips out to shops and other local facilities and amenities to gain life skills. With this in mind, applican...
