Who will you be working with

The Wabtec Passenger Information Management System (PIMS) team is responsible for delivering real-time transit information solutions that enhance the passenger experience. The team develops and maintains high-availability backend services that integrate with multiple data sources, including SCADA, CAD, and AVL systems, to provide accurate arrival predictions, automated announcements, and real-time service updates.

The team works collaboratively with software engineers, system architects, project managers, and transit agency stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration and reliable system performance. Using a mix of functional programming (Erlang, Elixir), messaging protocols (RabbitMQ, AMQP), and real-time databases (PostgreSQL, Mnesia), the PIMS team builds scalable and robust solutions for public transportation networks.
