Overview
As a key member of the mechatronics leadership team, you are responsible for the software and electronics architecture of new and further-developed products.
Responsibilities
- Define and own software and hardware concepts in compliance with relevant standards, norms and machine safety requirements
- Design control and automation solutions and create reliable effort and cost estimates for: (PLC and HMI software / Electrical components and drive systems/ Develop and program core system functions)
- Actively support commissioning, troubleshooting and system modifications
- Work closely with mechanical engineering to select, evaluate and calculate optimal hardware solutions for advanced applications
- Lead outsourcing activities for complex projects and prototype phases
- Plan internal engineering capacities in collaboration with team leaders and management
