This role is part of Amazon ElastiCache’s Data Plane team, responsible for designing and implementing the in‑memory database engine that powers services for millions of customers around the world.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Design and build next‑generation in‑memory database engine delivering sub‑millisecond latencies and millions of operations per second.
• Develop large‑scale distributed in‑memory storage systems in C/C++, extending open‑source Valkey with durability, replication, and advanced data‑structure capabilities.
• Build and optimize the durability layer (transaction logging, snapshotting, replication protocols) enabling MemoryDB to provide Multi‑AZ data protection.
• Design and implement advanced data structures and query capabilities, including vector search and full‑text search for emerging workloads such as generative AI.
