Software Certification Engineer 1

Overview We are seeking a full-time Software Certification Engineer 1 at Garmin’s U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting certification of Garmin Aviation software releases by preparing required documentation and supporting Software Quality Assurance activities. Essential Functions Conduct Aviation focused Software Quality Assurance audits to ensure compliance Leverage Aviation quality standards and procedures and ensure they are applied on projects appropriately Learn, interpret, and apply aviation software development standards - RTCA DO-178B/C Review software documents, with keen attention to detail, for accuracy and compliance Manage and communicate project status, challenges, and progress in a timely manner Possess basic knowledge of requirements, design, coding, and testing standards.
