Social Worker II

Your Opportunity: Assisted Living Alberta at the Sturgeon Community Hospital is looking for a Social Worker to support patients and families in inpatient/emergency department settings and be an integral part of department changes. This position requires a high degree of critical thinking, strong knowledge of Social Work scope and role, and a passion for social work excellence. You will be required to prioritize workload, formulate assessments and create intervention plans in a short timeframe. These plans include psychosocial and financial interventions, risk management, and resourcing to support ongoing treatment and/or discharge planning. The Social worker will demonstrate exceptional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with caregivers, families, and community organizations.
