Herefordshire Council – Permanent Social Worker (Adult Social Care Safeguarding).

Location: Hereford City. Hours: 37 hours per week. Salary: £36,363 to £40,777 plus a £3,000 welcome payment. Closing date: 18 June 2026.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide range of adult social care services, including Care Act Assessments, Mental Capacity Assessments, and Section 42 Enquiries.
• Conduct person‑centred assessment and support planning for diverse adult populations, including those with physical and learning disabilities, mental health needs, and older adults.
• Apply a strength‑based approach to empower individuals and champion independence.
• Engage with external agencies and partner organisations to provide holistic care.
• Provide safeguarding and CHC/S117 work to ensure continuous support.
