Position Summary
The Supervisor of Social Work provides clinical and administrative leadership for the hospital Social Work team. This role oversees daily operations, staff performance, and patient throughput while ensuring high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered social work services across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Supervisory functions
Maintains a consistent pattern of attendance. Reports to assigned area on time for scheduled shift. Assists with the preparation of periodic reviews and evaluations as directed.Acts as a representative of the hospital in inter-agency or intra-agency groups as directed.Evaluate performance of social work staff.Serves as a member of appropriate hospital committees as assigned.Provides field instruction for social work students assigned to the hospital.Assists in the ongoing development of an up-to-date comprehensive file of resources available...
