Job Description
Job Title: SMSF Accountant (Class/BGL, 3–5 yrs) – WFH
Key Responsibilities:
SMSF Compliance & Reporting
- Help maintain accurate SMSF records and data within accounting software (e.g., Xero, Class Super)
- Prepare annual financial statements, member statements, and tax returns for self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs)
- Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and TBARs as required
- Ensure compliance with SIS Act regulations, superannuation rules, and ATO requirements
- Process and reconcile contributions, rollovers, pensions, and benefit payments
Fund Administration
- Maintain accurate fund records including investment movements, income, and member balances
- Assist in the administration of SMSF transactions, including contributions, pensions, and rollovers
Client and Auditor Liaison
- Communicate with clients to request documents and clarify fund activity
