Job Description

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Blasting/Mining or Civil Engineering
  • DMRE Opencast Blasting Ticket.
  • MQA Surface Rock Breaking Certificate. 01/07/2009 to 31/05/2017
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ drilling and blasting within the mining industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing drill and blasting teams, 40+ employees on shift system. Basic knowledge of Drill Rigs, specifically Sandvik Di550 and Di650
  • Experience with the use of electronic and pyrotechnic initiation systems.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Planning and detailed execution of plans.
  • Safety driven, effective multi - tasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in Blast map III Blasting Software
