Site Crew Member

Position Type: Temporary

Number of Positions: 2

Term: August 3-4, 2026

Compensation: $300.00/day

Location: Wassasi Park, 6 kilometers east of Conklin.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and prepare the Métis Culture Camp site before the camp starts.
  • Mow and weed the area.
  • Construct two large drying racks for hanging dry meat.
  • Provide at least 20 bannock‑making sticks.

Requirements

  • Valid class 5 driver’s licence and willing to use own vehicle and lawn maintenance equipment.
  • Willing to use and operate own equipment to fulfill job duties.
  • Ability to work as a team and independently with little supervision.

Working Conditions

  • Moderate physical demands (heavy lifting) require physical stamina and endurance.
