A Site Engineer is required to work on large civils projects (flood relief schemes) in the midlands region.The Athlone Flood Alleviation Scheme has eight individual flood cells in total and the main elements include the following; · Construction of earthen embankments; · Construction of reinforced concrete walls / masonry clad reinforced concrete walls; · Installation of sheet pile walls· Installation of pumping stations · Installation of floodgates & glass walls; · Piling for structural elements; · Installation of culverts; · All associated building and civil engineering works. The works are spread out over the town of Athlone. Qualifications and Experience Candidates must have at least 3 years’ experience with a main contractor on the construction of civil engineering projects. Experience of river / flood defence works would be an advantage. You will need a level 8 degree in Civil Engineering.
