Summary This vacancy is for a WD - 5334-5/6,Shop Planner located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, OFFICE OF NAVAL ENGINEERING in Baltimore, MD. Responsibilities You will serve as a Shop Planner and be responsible for assisting the Mechanical Group Superintendent and the Outside Machine Shop General Foreman, by ordering and expediting the delivery of production shop materials used in the Inside Machine Shop, Outside Machine Shop. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Receives BiIls of Material (BM) and associated drawings for the 120' WPB project. Reviews BM to determine material designated for his shop, verifies listed stock numbers, and determines unit of issue of each item. Issues BM Revision forms (2298) to delete, add, or change any items on BM that are not needed or unsuitable for the project.
