**Job Description**
The Shop Helper supports daily production activities in a busy job shop by assisting machine operators and performing a variety of secondary operations. You load and unload sheet metal and other materials into machines, operate simple machine controls, and handle finished parts. This role is highly repetitive but offers variety across tasks such as counting, sanding, cleaning, palletizing, deburring, packaging, and general shop support.
**Responsibilities**
+ Load pieces of sheet metal and other materials into machines, initiate machine cycles by pressing the appropriate controls, and safely unload finished parts.
+ Perform secondary operations including deburring, parts cleaning, counting, packaging, and general finishing work on rubber, plastic, and metal components.
+ Pull parts from laser and waterjet machines and ensure they are properly staged for the next operation.
