SHIPBUILDING SPECIALIST

Summary You will serve as a SHIPBUILDING SPECIALIST in the LPD CTL Branch (322.1), AMPHIB DIVISION (322), Waterfront Operations Department (300) of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR. Responsibilities You will estimate cost, labor, overhead, and budgeting material and time for ship repairs. You will review and evaluate contractor condition reports and recommend additional work for ship repairs. You will coordinate production schedules, including maintaining accurate reports to meet all contractual requirements. You will accomplish ship inspections of tasking items to determine if contractors’ obligations are met. You will give on the job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices.
