Overview

The Critical Environment Shift Operator is responsible for the provision of building operations, sustaining Critical Environments, operating critical equipment in support of critical areas, and responding to national equipment alarm systems. Duties include monitoring elevator operations, lighting controls, boiler and chiller operations, fire alarm controls, and monitoring the national call centre after hours and Base Building Automation Controls. Responsibilities are subject to change depending on contract requirements. This role works on a wide variety of assigned tasks under the direction of the Maintenance Team Leader. There will be a training period of 4 to 6 months to become familiar with the facility and the systems. This opportunity has continental shifts which rotate between days and nights (i.e., 3 on & 2 off, 2 on & 3 off). Shifts are 12 hours: Day 6:00am – 6:00pm and Night 6:00pm – 6:00am.
