Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To supervise activities and shaft maintenance
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
At least 5 years relevant shaft working experience is essential
Exposure to trackless shaft operations is essential
Valid Medical Certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain one is essential
COMPETENCIES
Knowledge pertaining to basic health and safety principles in the workplace is essential.
Knowledge of Environmental Management System shall be an added advantage
Knowledge of the importance of maintaining the shaft in good working order is essential.
Knowledge and understanding of blasting products and their usage in an underground hard rock environment is essential.
Knowledge of the importance of the safe movement of material and equipment in underground shaft area is essential.
