Job Summary Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Settlement Counsellor will support clients throughout the City of Ottawa in meeting their immediate settlement needs by providing information, orientation, and referrals to community resources.
Employment status: Full‑time, until March 31, 2027
Hourly rate: $30.69 - $34.55
Location: 219 Argyle Avenue
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Provide information, orientation, and referrals to clients through one‑on‑one and group sessions.
Coordinate the provision of services through case management, needs assessment, settlement action plans, and advocacy.
Connect clients with specific settlement needs to existing resources in the community.
Interpret and translate for clients to access services and meet immediate settlement needs.
Prepare clients to actively access networks and navigate Canadian systems.
