Description Department of Electrical and Software Engineering at the University of Calgary is hiring a Sessional Instructor for ENCM 335 – Programming Fundamentals for Electrical Engineers for the Fall 2026 term (September 1 – December 31, 2026).
Course Details Course Description : Key features of the C programming language. Pointers, memory models and memory management. Modular design of software; information hiding. Manipulation of text files and binary files. Introduction to recursion.
Schedule : Lecture: MWF 11:00 am – 11:50 am; Labs: Tuesday 2:00 pm – 3:15 pm; Tutorial: Wednesday 12:00 pm – 12:50 pm.
Qualifications
Minimum master’s degree in electrical, computer, or software engineering.
Demonstrated background in the subject matter related to the course.
Very good previous teaching performance or potential for very good to excellent teaching ability.
