Service Worker I - Emergency

Your Opportunity:

This opportunity with the Emergency Department at the Strathcona Community Hospital. The facility offers a 24/7 Emergency Department, a variety of outpatient Ambulatory, Laboratory, and Diagnostic Imaging services. Under the supervision of the Manager, the Service Worker I is responsible for the transportation of supplies, equipment and patient portering within the site. The Service Worker I provides patients with safe, courteous and prompt transportation between departments, as well as distributing supplies/equipment and linen. Clear communication is required to effectively outline adequate equipment/supply levels within the department, as well as coordinating with other departments ( CPSM) on site. The successful incumbent is also required to collect soiled supplies and equipment and dispose of same in appropriate areas on site.
