Service Foreman

Minimum requirements: N6 qualification in a mechanical field. Recognised Trade Test in Fitting or Fitting & Turning. John Thompson Boiler Attendant Certificate (advantageous). Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience. At least 5 years fitting experience on heavy machinery, including: Coal-fired boilers CFM compressors Centrifugal and piston-type water pumps Previous experience in a Charge Hand or Foreman role (preferred). Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of mechanical equipment, drives, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and water/steam reticulation systems. Skilled in fault-finding and working under pressure during breakdowns. Practically inclined with hands-on ability in tool use and mechanical tasks. Competent in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings. Accurate, neat, and efficient in the execution of duties. Proficient in fabrication tasks such as welding, grinding, and cutting.
