Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is looking to hire Senior Technical Safety Engineer (KZ Passport holder) with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry to join our Operations business, based in Atyrau, Kazakhstan


  • Degree qualification in an engineering discipline is essential
  • Significant experience in production or engineering of oil and gas facilities, including considerable experience in Technical Safety Engineering
  • Knowledge of Hazardous Area Classification, preparation of Hazardous Area Classification Datasheets and Hazardous Area Schedule
  • Knowledge of Physical Effects Modeling and Quantitative Risk Assessment
  • Knowledge of Fire & Gas Mapping
  • Knowledge of Emergency, Evacuation, Rescue Analysis
  • Knowledge of Safety Equipment and Safety Signs
  • Experience with Safe Facilities Site Layout and to demonstrate Safety In Design
