Job Overview

Wärtsilä is hiring a Senior Superintendent in Global Field Services to perform and lead commissioning, overhauls, troubleshooting and upgrades on Wärtsilä engines and equipment.

Permanent position. Preferred location: Vaasa, Finland; Turku or Helsinki may also be considered. Global travel required – approximately 150 days per year – with partial remote work.

Responsibilities

• Pre‑commissioning and commissioning of Wärtsilä equipment with the latest automation and electrical technologies.
• Troubleshooting by identifying failures, adjusting and attending sea trial runs of installations according to instructions and performance requirements.
• Performing installation audits at various land and sea‑based installations.
• Preparing service reports and travel expenses on time in accordance with Wärtsilä quality expectations.
