Senior Software Engineer I, Site Reliability

We‘re looking for a hands-on MongoDB SRE to join our Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team. You‘ll own the reliability of our MongoDB clusters, work closely with application teams on performance, and help drive automation and observability improvements.

What You‘ll Do

- Monitor and maintain MongoDB replica sets in production — health, performance, capacity, and change management

- Triage slow queries, analyze explain() plans, and recommend index strategies to application teams

- Implement and validate backup/restore procedures; monitor recovery posture against defined RTO/RPO targets

- Respond to database incidents, contribute to postmortems, and follow through on action items

- Build alerting rules, runbooks, and escalation paths for owned clusters

- Write automation scripts and contribute to IaC modules for database configuration
