Role purpose
The Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for developing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, overseeing the supply chain and inventory and managing vendor performance.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or Accounting
Minimum of 6 years work experience
Minimum of 4 years experience in procurement, supply chain management; contracts management or similar workfields
Minimum of 3 years' experience working in Mining & Quarrying
Role Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials and services
Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and company policies
Oversee inventory management of inbound/outbound logistics to ensure optimal stock levels and minimise waste
Manage internal stakeholders' budget requirements and performance against targets
Monitor and report on departmental performance to identify areas of improvement
