Role purpose
The
Senior Procurement Specialist
is responsible for developing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, overseeing the supply chain and inventory and managing vendor performance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or Accounting
- Minimum of 6 years work experience
- Minimum of 4 years experience in procurement, supply chain management; contracts management or similar workfields
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working in Mining & Quarrying
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials and services
- Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and company policies
- Oversee inventory management of inbound/outbound logistics to ensure optimal stock levels and minimise waste
- Manage internal stakeholders' budget requirements and performance against targets
