Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process purchase requisitions / orders within purchasing authority
  • Prepare plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
  • Invite, assess, and award supplier tenders, bids, quotations, and proposals
  • Review, compare, analyze, and approve products and services to be purchased.
  • Establish and negotiate pricing and contract terms and conditions and maintain supplier relationships
  • Prepare and maintain purchasing records, reports, and price lists
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to determine procurement needs, quality, and delivery requirements
  • Co-ordinate all logistics involved, utilizing internal suppliers, in the receipt and delivery of procured items
  • Research and evaluate prospective suppliers
  • Assist in the development of specifications for equipment and materials to be purchased.
