AtkinsRéalis one of the world’s leading providers of environmental professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland.We are seeking a Senior/Principal Freshwater Ecologist / Hydro-Ecologist for water projects, schemes and to address general water use and management issues throughout Ireland. You will be a freshwater ecologist with a good understanding of hydrology and water quality, and the relationships between these things. You may also be a statistician and/or modeller and used to manipulating ecological data. You will know about and understand the freshwater ecological aspects of ecological status as defined by the Water Framework Directive and will have a good understanding of the kind of measures that need to be implemented to improve aquatic ecology in line with WFD objectives for ‘good status by 2027’.
