Senior Power Systems Operations Engineer

Description As our Senior Power Systems Operations Engineer , you will be part of MISO's Real Time Operations groupwhere the rubber meets the road. Our operators and engineers work collaboratively to make complex and quick decisions. This team coordinates the use of the transmission system by ensuring flows stay within prescribed limits and partners with transmission operators and neighboring reliability coordinators to maintain reliability. This position will be an Engineer in Reserve position where you will have the opportunity to train and hone your skills until you qualify and a shift position opens. You will also be responsible for learning how to maintain the accuracy and availability of one of the most important Energy Management Systems (EMS) in the Eastern Interconnection.
