Senior Optical Engineer

We are partnered with a Barcelona-based space technology company building an affordable, high-resolution thermal imaging satellite constellation to improve environmental monitoring and global resource management.

They are looking for a Senior Optical Engineer to support the development of a multispectral optical system for thermal space applications. This role focuses on optical design, testing, and validation within an R&D environment.

Role Overview

You will contribute across the full optical design lifecycle, from requirements definition to design, tolerancing, and opto-mechanical integration using Ansys Zemax. The role also involves developing test setups, supporting AIT/AIV activities, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
