Job Description

  • Provide engineering and design expertise in Naval Architecture and Structural Design, preparing and reviewing design/calculation packages.

  • Mentor and provide oversight to junior engineers, designers, and subcontractors.

  • Develop and review design documents for diverse vessel types, including fisheries, icebreaking, and naval replenishment vessels.

  • Conduct trade studies to identify cost-effective engineering solutions.

  • Develop material specifications and bills of material.



    • What you must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture.

  • 10+ years of post-secondary experience in Naval Architecture and Structural Design.

  • Professional Engineering designation in the Province of British Columbia.

  • Expert knowledge of stability, weight, resistance, powering, and structural design calculations.
