Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join our team at Wilpinjong Mine, a large open-cut, low strip ratio thermal coal operation located 58 kilometres northeast of Mudgee, NSW. Producing ~12 Mtpa, Wilpinjong is a multi-seam truck/excavator and dozer push operation supplying both domestic and export markets.


About the role
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will be responsible for the development of Short to Medium Term mine designs and schedules, ensuring alignment with operational and business objectives. Key aspects of the role include:

  • Developing practical and optimised designs and schedules.

  • Engaging closely with operational stakeholders to communicate plans and manage execution.

  • Leading and mentoring a team of Mining Engineers.
