Job Description
Senior Mechanical Engineer – AECOM Buildings + Place Location: Markham/Thornhill office (hybrid work). Some travel may be required.
Scope: Lead building projects including commercial, institutional, and light industrial facilities such as Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants and Sewage Lift Stations.
Major Responsibilities
Mechanical Project Lead responsible for design and construction administration.
Independently perform all tasks necessary to complete primary design at early stages and develop the concept to detailed design, coordinating with all disciplines.
Design HVAC, controls, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Perform HVAC calculations and analysis using industry programs (Carrier HAP).
Perform calculations, conduct design drawing reviews, and field investigations.
Ensure design conforms with all applicable codes and client standards.
Write/edit mechanical specifications.
