What’s the role?

You’ll play a key role in how Westpac understands and manages model risk across Financial Markets and Treasury. Working within the Model Risk team, you’ll independently assess valuation, risk and capital models used across trading and banking books, covering products across rates, FX and commodities.

This role is hands‑on and varied. You’ll review complex models, build and enhance independent validation tools, and clearly explain outcomes to senior stakeholders. You’ll also help shape strong model risk governance and support the development of junior team members, sharing your experience and judgement along the way.
