Senior Manager, Data Center SSD Firmware

Micron Technology is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Center SSD Firmware (M2) to own the Flash Translation Layer (FTL) firmware component team supporting Data Center SSD products. This role combines people management , technical leadership , and firmware component ownership to enable successful delivery of sophisticated SSD firmware solutions.

FTL firmware is the SSD firmware component responsible for translating host data requests into reliable and efficient NAND flash operations. It manages logical-to-physical address mapping, data placement, garbage collection, wear leveling, and reliability algorithms. As a core element of SSD firmware, FTL holds a crucial role in delivering performance, endurance, data integrity, and quality of service.
