Job Purpose:

Responsible for complex engineering for compute systems and/or storage environments, along with related network considerations and infrastructure applications, whether on‑premises or in the cloud. Ensures builds are consistent with architectural standards and will meet specified needs. Independently makes important decisions regarding engineering, configuration, monitoring, capacity planning and problem resolution that could affect million‑dollar project delivery or the successful execution of business transactions for several hours. Ensures back‑out plans are created and executable in the event of an implementation problem. Directs and trains System Engineers and Associate Engineers to meet workload demands. Continually updates skillset and stays abreast of technology trends and developments.
