The City of Burnaby is seeking a Senior Information Security Officer (SISO) who will be a key technology leader in establishing and maintaining the City’s cybersecurity program. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Information Officer – Planning and Government, the SISO will:

1. Identify, evaluate, and report on legal, regulatory, IT, and cybersecurity risks to information assets.
2. Develop and implement cybersecurity practices that align with policies, standards, and risk management approaches.
3. Oversee security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection, and data encryption.
4. Serve as the process owner for assurance activities related to information confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
