Job Description

Hydrotechnical Engineer Locations: Vancouver, Toronto, Sudbury, Fredericton.

We are looking for a hydrotechnical engineer to apply critical thinking in the management of mine waste and water. The role will involve working with the latest versions of software, designing hydrotechnical components, and incorporating climate‑change resiliency, among other duties.

Responsibilities

Work with the latest versions of software, including GoldSim, PCSWMM, HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, Flow‑2D/3D.

Model mine site‑wide water balance and water quality (with the opportunity to use GoldSim).

Design hydrotechnical components of tailings storage facilities for global mining projects.

Incorporate climate‑change resiliency in hydrotechnical design.

Contribute to risk assessments, Dam Safety Reviews, and risk‑informed decision making.

Engage with clients, colleagues and suppliers on environmentally focused field programs and design solutions.
