Job Description
I own and operate a structural steel fabrication and erection company in New York. We manage both shop fabrication and field installation crews across multiple projects (approx. 40 personnel total).
We are looking to build an internal crew scheduling and operations platform to replace spreadsheets and fragmented tools.
This is NOT a marketing website or booking app.
This is an internal operational system used daily by management and foremen.
Initial focus is an MVP (minimum viable product).
Core needs:
Assign crews to active projects
Coordinate shop vs field manpower
Allocate equipment (cranes, lifts, trucks)
Prevent scheduling conflicts (double booking, missing roles, unavailable resources)
Role-based access (admin, PM, foreman)
Audit log of scheduling changes
2-week lookahead view
Daily crew sheet output
