Senior Estimator

Summary/Objective

The Senior Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate project estimates and schedules for civil construction projects ranging from $2M to $40M, analyzing contract requirements, and guiding junior estimators. Requires expertise in heavy highway, earthwork, bridge, and utility construction.

Essential Functions

- Analyze bid documents and construction plans. 

- Perform quantity takeoffs from project drawings. 

- Determine project scope and required disciplines. 

- Identify subcontractor roles and DBE participation to achieve project objectives. 

- Highlight constructability challenges and value engineering possibilities. 

- Manage pre-bid activities and respond to owner inquiries. 

- Develop and review project estimates and schedules ($2M-$40M). 

- Mentor and supervise junior estimators. 

- Prepare and submit comprehensive bid packages.
